Who are Hornet Solutions?
Hornet Solutions Ltd was established by Karen Woodbridge in 2006 after a number of years working in multi-national corporations as a Change Management Consultant and Human Resource Specialist.
She is a Chartered Member of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) and holds a Masters level Employment Law qualification, ACEL, which is recognised by the Bar Council and Law Society. Karen is also a lecturer on post graduate HR subjects for the Anglia Ruskin University.

​Grahame Clarke has a comprehensive understanding of business requirements and how Health & Safety practices can be incorporated in them. He holds the Nebosh Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health, the Nebosh Fire Risk Assessment Certificate and an Advanced Certificate in Health & Safety from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.

Business Manager Karen McLachlan, who is affectionately known as Karen Mac or McBoss (this is to minimise any confusion with Karen W), has worked for Hornet Solutions since 2013, having previously worked in the printing industry before moving into office management roles for diverse companies.
She is part qualified Associate CIPD and has assisted Karen W on a wide variety of diverse, larger HR projects including sensitive and challenging Investigations, in addition to being the first point of contact for the HR Support Team. She also handles the day-to-day background business tasks and invoicing.

Denise Nugent is a HR Client Support Coordinator. Denise has over 20 years’ experience within office administration. In our office she is affectionally known as the Contract Queen, because of her excellent comprehension of clients’ contracts and contractual clauses, which she can adapt to suit each Client's needs. Her main duties are: drafting legal documents (eg COT3, S111A); HR process coaching, coordination, and guidance; holiday calculations; general HR work; managing Karen W’s diary.

Cheri Kilbey is also a HR Client Support Coordinator. However Cheri is our lead in the Investigation Processes and therefore is the Clients’ first call of contact in these often uncomfortable and difficult situations. Cheri’s previous experience of working in a law firm assists her with the forensic task of gathering and collating the required evidence for any Investigation. Cheri also undertakes the same other duties as Denise. Alongside these duties, Cheri is our Website Queen, and has worked extensively on creating and maintaining this.

Caroline Chapman is a Support Administrator. She has previously worked as a Compliance Coordinator and has joined our team to assist with all administration support. She has also assisted HSL to create an efficient system for all types of holiday calculations.
